First yote with howa and found something wierd...

Finall got the Howa .204 sighted in(thank you Jeff I am in love with it) and went driving round this morning, nasty weather, and saw this yote sitting by a clump of grass bout 180yds. Must have been a dumb one cuz it never moved gave me time to load, by pod down, zoom in, and shoot.Stoned him where he stood.

When I went to retrieve him I saw something in its mouth and thought it was meat that it coughed up. But when i got back to the truck I found this.

it was nasty. Have any of you guys seen this or know what it is? I sure did not touch it. Other than that it looked really healthy.

Hope to put lots more down soon with the new gun.

Cant say I have seen that but will say yotes carry some very nasty diseases....very nasty,and it appears he has some.

They can get herpes tooo

Just found what it is. canine viral papillomas. nasty stuff.

Thanks guys just bought the gun used last week.only had 40 rounds down the pipe.with a scope and by pod for $625 shipped. and it shoots great.

they get cold 32 degrees or less and loose power until they wont work at all. they have the sub zero version but its more expensive.

It's a long distance intense wide beam laser that illuminates targets up to 500 yds. If it were infrared it would not be visible to the human eye.

Its like a green lazer spotlight that will shine 150 yrds. An the bigger 1s even farther, animals arnt suppost to be able to "see" the light when u cut it on... I've looked at buyn 1 for a while at a local gun store..

I heard though that after about 3 to 5 seconds of it being shined on a deer that the deep will spoke. So the moral of the story is shoot quick lol

put a hand warmer on your nd-3 when it gets around freezing and that will help a lot
