Justin and i are putting together a tournament series for next season its going to be all night shoots. We are open for any ideas so far we are planning on 7 tournaments starting at La Cyne in march then big hill , hillsdale, milford , melvern , perry then back to melvern for the final one theyre going to be on the second sat of each month. Were going to do a point series so at the end we can give away some new bows to the winning team if we get enough players were going to give new ospreys to the high point team. We dont have sponsorship enough to buy the bows out right so were going to have to charge so much to get in the point series 3 new bows is gonna run around 2200 . Justin can add to this on what he has figured for entry fees and such with 7 tournys what sponsors we have arent gonna be able to give stuff for every tourny so what we might do is at the final tourny give out what has been donated . Were talking like the milford shoot will be a Ks vs Ne border war shoot well try to come up with something for this one so ideas are welcome.

What Hacksaw has said. We are going to do a series of 7 night shoots starting in March. If you guys want to do a points championship for some bows LET US KNOW. As Hacksaw said we probally are not gonna find any money sponcers for the bows so the more teams the better the bows will be and the cheaper the entry cost for each team will be. Let us know what you are willing to spend to do something like this weather its $50 a team per year or $250 a team per year. We need your input ASAP so we can get the ball rollin and get a calander marked and know what we will have to work with on the money. I have a couple sources for the new PSE Waves & Alpine Makos and Hacksaw has a sorce for the Oneidas. We just need to know how many teams are willing to spend some money. This is for you guys so tell us what you want out of it. Right now nothing is set in stone so tell us what you want!!!

I think commitment may be the biggest issue for most people. Like we talked about before, maybe we should say each team can only collect points from a specific number of shoots. This way each team doesnt have to commit to every shoot, and it is still fair in terms of maximum number of shoots per team.

Example; say the maximum number of shoots is 4. So each team can only collect points from 4 shoots. Whether that be their top 4 out of 7, or the 4 that they decide to participate in.

So the entry fees will cover the cost of the bows for the final points winners. Will there still be cash winning oportunities at each shoot? i'm sure it all depends on how many people are involved, but what is the ideal "plan." I think this needs to be worked out, because teams that are way to far behind to catch up in points, aren't going to keep coming back and paying more unless there is opportunity to win something.

Also, we might be able to get Diamond Archery interested in this, especially if we throiw thier name in the series title. I know Ryan has been wanting Diamond Archery to be a part of some tournaments.

Each tourny will have cash payback like any other tourny the point series will be totally separate . Were thinking like a 150.00 one time payment to get in the series then its just the regular tourny entires after that . So even if you didnt want to be in the series you can still go to the tourny and win cash at the ones you can make it to none of the entries at the tournaments are going towards the bows it will all be paid back that day . The series points are like their own side pot with a one time entry riding on 7 tournaments which would come out to 21.50 per tournament to have a chance to win some nice bows depending on how much money is raised. Were trying to get this figured out now so people can get it on the calendar so they can make as many as possible. The ideal plan would be to have 15 teams commit to the series and give away 3 oneida ospreys or 3 fully rigged waves or makos . Im sure we can work something out with Ryan if he is wanting to get involved we want the players to be happy with the tournaments thats why we want feed back on what yall want so fire away.

I myself would never commit to 7... To much real life **** going on. Another thing, if I were to spend 150 to get into the series... I wouldnt be spending any more to enter the tournaments. it would be one or the other, not pay to enter the series and then pay to enter each tournament. just my .02

I like it.. fish max u wanna pay 150 for 7 shoots? No way... I have to have the chamce.to.win some cash at the tpurneys because I don't have a great average finish in tourney. But having 7 that count for a big total prize will het me put shooting more... I also agree it should be top 4-5 scores.. that way I don't have to make all 7... And if u make entry fees like 60-80 bucks should be managable

Team Domeshot is gonna put the smack down on you ks boys bahahahaha:laugh:

You Nebraska girls just be ready for a a$$ whoopin come June at Milford!! Just prommise me now there won't be any crying involved.

Back to subject now: I like the idea of everyone paying a one time fee of $150 and that will enter you into the points challange for the bows. Im with you guys in thinking that only 4 of the 7 shoots should count towards points and they can be your choice as long as we know before the shoot. You can't come and win a shoot then say you want those points. MUST TELL US BEFORE THE SHOOT STARTS!! That will keep it halfway fair for everyone. There are some shoots i know i won't be able to make just because of my work. I work every weekend and have to take vacation to make any of these shoots. Also there are certain lakes i don't know at all like Milford. I have never been on that lake so i don't want that one to counr towards my points. Keep the ideas coming and ill start writing up rules and dates at work tonight.

What i meant was a one time of $150 just for the points per team and $100 for each tourny entry fee to be paid back 100% at each tourney. We could also do some extra side pots at each tourney just to make sure everyone has a chance at something.

Your telling me you have a $20,000 boat but your not willing to spend a one time $150 to enter a points series and $100 per shoot entry fee? You don't have to enter the series. Its optional and just for the guys wanting to take a chance at winning some new bows. $150 is freakin cheap for 3 BRAND NEW BOWS!!

What Nebraska is doing this year is 60 a team 50 for the tourney and 10 for big fish and that is with 3guys with a 16& under for free..... And 150 is not bad at all to buy in to the point game

As an example if you get first place you get five points Second place you would get four points third-place you would get three points fourth place you get two points and just to show up you would get one point and when big fish it would be an extra two points and this is just an example

The border war is gonna be fun im gonna love watching them leave with their tail between their legs headin back to NE.
Were still working on the points deal but were thinking so many for first and on down the line like 25 for first then 15 ,10, 5 and so on not sure how to keep the point system fair for everyone. We can do just 4 or 5 to count for points but i think that choosing which ones are gonna be your point tournys could end up with almost no points earned if everybody kept picking the wrong one example you pick 4 tournys and dont place then go to the last 3 and win them but they dont count then a team that picked their 4 win a place and happen to be the only team that got any points cuz they lucked out on picks is that really fair ? Im thinking the top 4 high point scores for each team should count that way its not leaving it to the luck of the draw its going to the team that earned it shooting fish and not the team that got lucky picking what tourny counts towards points. The 150.00 to enter the points i think is cheap ive paid that much for a raffle ticket for one gun before . Keep the suggestions coming
