IL go ahead and say this . If it's legal to travel wherever there are plenty places to fish I am from dyersburg area 1.5-2 hours north of memphis but there are literally a ton of backwater holes lakez chutes and rivers to choose from . It'd be nice if "open lake " agreed to let people shoot it iv been waiting for the state to buy it so it's game to shoot.... but overall there are tons of places but I think the locals or people who scout alot will fair well

I'm just glad it's not on those sorry azz lakes this year! Huge lakes, yes, but VERY little fishable water. Plus most of the better areas were becoming well known, so unless you started early odds were against you.

I'd like see em make it a 24hr tourny-noon blast off on Saturday, weigh in noon Sunday. Drive anywhere, but you can only weigh in commonly found stuff-carp, buffs, longnose, etc. No exotic stuff like GG, blues, rays. It'll never happen but I can dream :)

Holding it strictly on the MS isn't smart or safe IMO. Tons of hazards to get into after dark, and if she floods...

I'm really shocked you think there is very little fishable water. I understand some places are deep and clear but there is a huge amount of area on 3 out of 5 lakes. Not trying to be a dick, but it sounds more like you just couldn't find the right ramp at the lakes. I know guys that could fish those lakes till the cows come home. I know I got frustrated the first year also, but then found 4 ramps on 3 different lakes that had great water and area to shoot. But understand your frustration

Have to agree with Carpcommander on this on. Last year with the one hour than earlier expected start screwed alot of people leaving out of Springfield of all places. By the time we got to the area that we scouted and found fish there were 20+ boats already there trashing the piss out of it. Mind you the night before we only saw one boat that night scouting. By the time it was dark enough to flip on the lights all the fish were blown out of there from two hours of boats running all over it. An hour after dark all the boats were gone. Beyond frustrating traveling all that way to work your ass off to find top 10 caliber fish and not even get a chance to shoot them. Glad they moved it because after getting your balls kicked in the first and third year of the tournament over things that you can not control sucks.

Wait its because of the one hour earlier leave time your hole was screwed??? So don't you think that those same boat that was there would have still been there even if we left one hour later??? Bottom line is, you still would have been fighting the same boats just one hour later...

I am one of the guys that could shoot those sorry azz lakes year round. I'm happy to see it moved though. Table Rock has been cleaned out. The other lakes are still great it's just knowing where to go. I'm excited to see some different water and see how we do when we don't have the home field advantage. How far is Guntersville from Memphis :)

Those lakes wouldnt be so sad if you werent fighting 250 other boats, and the water hadnt been scouted every night for a week straight. The lakes Im referring to are primarily Table and Shoals; there really isnt a lot of fishable water between the two.

we fished both lakes and had a lot of boats to compete with it as well. We just sucked it up and did our thing and did pretty good. A couple times during the night we could have dropped anchors into another boat that's how tight it was. Did not get mad or complain just did our thing. So everyone had to fight for their spot that's what happens when you have a 275 team shootout. Do you really think it's going to be any different in Memphis. So just suck it up and give it your best shot and let the cards fall where they will.
