Just bought Diamondback AR10 .308 for $900 last week (prices are coming down on AR10's)... it hated 147gr off shelf box ammo though in the 1/10 twist but it made for some brass to reload. Will be trying 5 different powder charges this or next week and some 165gr BTSP Hornady's to see if the 1/10 twist likes them better.

My DPMS AR-10 with the 1/10 twist LOVES 168 gr bullets. You wouldn't think the 3 grains would matter, but the performance is way better with the slightly heavier bullet. Just FYI

That seems to be the consensus, the 1/10 likes the 160 somethings and 175 even better. I picked the 165 btsp over the target 168 bthp since it would be a better all around bullet even though several say the target 168bthp performed well on game even though its not recommended as such.

Starting with 42gr of Varget and going up 1/2 grain to 44(max). Loaded 5 of each to see where it goes and what the pressures look like.
