This is what I'm going to be using for a 53 in. 4 blade on a rack n pinion style steering.

I think the 600lb is way overkill. Most I have seen use a 250lbish and 12'' stroke. I don't think you will have enough turn radius with 6'' stroke depending on your setup.

 

I got a 1,000lb Rated 12" travel actuator. 1 inch per second travel for my fan boat. I didn't want it to break lol

 

I am running a 40 hp with 60" prop and that's the actuator I'm running.

 

will it turn your fan 180 to 360 degrees ?

 

Yes I an getting g a little better than 180 each way.

 

The 180 each way comes with the sprocket ratio to lent travel of actuator. I have a 16 tooth sprocket on the motor and a 60 tooth sprocket on the actuator.

 

^^^^ All I have is 6" of travel and I have better than 360 degrees of travel.

 

Warner Linear Actuator K2G05-12V-BR-06 B Track K2 6" is the actuator I used plus the 16 tooth and 60 tooth sprockets like PSE Bowfisher above.
