This guy claims if I quickly hit it with a Map Gas torch after I sand it, it will bring the shine back out of the material.
this will work... this is how I polish acrylic duck calls... go thru the grits of steel wool and then hit them with the torch... if call parts coming off the cnc then all you have to do is hit with with the torch... now I do use a smaller jewelerys torch because of the inside of the call... after that they are pretty polished but I like to hit them with a cloth roller and diamond dust... but we are talking about a bowfishing rest not a high dollar shelf queen custom call....lol...

It's completely functional right outta the printer, the groves are so tiny it wouldn't make a difference I just want to polish them up so they look cool.

I hear ya... before you take heat to it see what you can work out with sanding them and then hit then on a polish wheel... i burnt up a few calls before I learned how to flame polish them...

if it would fit my BE1 id take one and one for my screamer. mine doesnt have the same riser as yours though. i tried to get an esper rest for it but he said it wouldnt work for mine. so not sure.

Post a picture of your riser. Bob doesn't make a rest for my BE1 either, I'm thinking we have the same bow.

My riser only has the one hole not two like yours. Can't post a pic right now but i will tomorrow after work. Are you just gonna get them made to glue on or will you try and thread a couple?
My BE1 has 1 hole also.... But rest for Screamer and H series bows would be awesome

Well with the shape I can't really use a countersunk bolt, so I'd have to drill and tap the rest with a smaller 1/4" bolt. The silicon worked really well on the epoxy. If it ain't broke.......

id love to see what all this printer can do. what would the weight difference be between say a cnc rest and the one that was printed? wonder if the reel cap would be lighter?

I don't have a gram scale, but this thing is solid and doesn't way very much. UHMW is very heavy in relation to its size. So these will be lighter.

Making a cap would be possible, but a programming nightmare, I'll let someone else try and tackle that.
