OK so just went out and got 3 powermax 12v 45amp converters for my 112 minkota I ran 10ga wire form the genny to a 4 gang box with 2 rec in it out of the converters with 6 ga to the batterys with are 3 ft form the converters powermax states that these converterspull 5 amps apiece and 600w apiece which together is 15amps and 1800w I have a 2400 Yamaha genny which runs 120 amps 2100w OK the genny will go into over load when it is plugged in and won't run them the only thing I can figure is I cad to cut a plug off the converter to get it all plugged in the box if I had swamped the hot and neutral would it still work or blow fuses or mite make it over load really need some advice thanks

They will pull hard when you first plug them in then after 15 mins they back down on pull . That genny should run those easy ive run 3 55s off a yamaha 2k genny. Did you start the genny then plug them in one at a time and see what happens plug the one you cut the plug off of in first and see what happens it should run all that and ask for more .

It's my experience that running 3 55A will pull too much initially for a 2K Watt genny, especially if the batteries are run down. If the batteries are down and calling for the converters to pump 14+V and you're trying to run the 112 MK which is looking for over 50A @ 36V then I'm not surprised you're in an overload situation. I bought a 6500W genny with a 30A plug to handle my 101 MK troller on 3 converters and 3 dying batteries, but I only use it rarely. I went to a kicker recently and only use the troller for quicker steering.
