I see, I was thinking retrievers. Makes since now. And yes, we do what we have to, to keep our dogs safe.

Retrievers normally wouldn't need to be branded unless you were worried about them being stolen out of your kennels. For the simple fact what they are retrieving is normally in sight. And I'd love to see someone try to take one of my dogs within sight of me while I was holding a shotgun.

My black and tan coonhound has my initials freeze branded on his hind quarter....it only h urt him for a second and after that no pain.....I had it done when he was 1 he is 10 now and never had a single prob with any sort of infections or any other crap.....
