Some yes some no. If there spawning yes, if not they move back and forth depending on feeding habits and weather conditions.

Right now in Indiana they are in feeder creeks during the day and move out into the flooded rivers at night. I actually watched all the fish leave the creek the other night...

Agree on both answers haha. I'd say night time, only due to the amount of activity on the lakes during the day. In northern Indiana the gar have finally came out to play. looks maybe carp will be spawning soon, hope the weather doesnt screw with the spawn. But always found my luck at night honestly.

The good-natured, moral-minded fish all do there business during day and are safely in bed by 8:00............. :)

It's the sleezey, thrill-seeking, party fish that come out after dark..... To do God knows what :rage:

FISH EVERYWHERE DAY OR NIGHT!!!!!!! Both are awesome and who knows or cares if its the same fish during the day and night?

There is no right or wrong answer here. depends on the species and water conditions. Typicallly night is shallow water fish while day is rolling river fish here in East tx. Now that said..there are specific conditions that alllow me to absolutely murder rolling fish at night.
