Did a road trip for some daytime carp rut spawning action, had some top secret intelligence report that the carp were seen fornicating the past couple days so we hooked up the boat and left at O dark thirty for a trip to catch the tide right. The morning started off cloudy and foggy overcast with a heavy misty drizzle. It made it pretty hard to see fish and the water was pretty muddy also, but managed to break the ice with a couple of fish that had their backs out of the water
A little later the sun started to poke thru a little and managed to get a couple more in the boat, we think the spawn may have been on the wind down since a couple of the females were flat and spawned out already but overall a decent daytime trip for some spawners
