Shot em ... pulled them to the boat... club them with a t-ball bat!
Hmm... if your talking about my picture brady yep it was a grapple... and shot 8 grassies with it last year and none pulled off.... but thanks for the advice!
I only one arrowed all of these but the biggest was 28 lbs... I would back up a bigger one but its not nessecary... we shoot bigheads alot here and last year I shot a 65 lber and only used one arrow.
And Dats where I aim...hit them in da spine and they won't fight as much...or if u miss the spine u r barb will have a good bone to hold on too...<a href=http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/jj110/wbg444/?action=view¤t=IMG_20110505_190945.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj110/wbg444/IMG_20110505_190945.jpg border=0 alt=></a>
here are two more from last year ... with grapples...

My favorite fish to shoot. Once you shoot, I like to hear the zipping sound as the fish takes off with the arrow. Best fish to actually fight IMO. If you use a retriever, be careful not to hold your line as the fish spools you... you'll need something to close the cut on your hand if you do...
i love shooting grassys and commons cause they fight hard and i agree with Brady throw away those grapples one thing to remember with those grapples is if you shoot to high you will blow through the top of the back and lose the fish one of my buddys did that on a 40in gar but lucky i centerpunched it and it wasnt getting away from me and when we got it to the boat the top of the gar had a gash in the top of its back where he hit it but the blades on the grapple just cut right through the fish
6 months out of the year i shoot 3 barb grapples at sting rays+ ive been nailing snakeheads, carp, catfish, perch with them all summer.....aint nothin wrong with them.
do like we do with the rays, beat that b!tch in the head until it stops twitchin!
