How far would you drive to shoot an early May (two day) total weight tournament guaranteed to pay out $20,000 to the top 20 (two-man) teams on a reservoir known for big (40# plus) common carp. For the sake of conversation, let's say the pay out started at 5K for 1st and worked down...figure on an additional $500 bonus each day for the Big-Fish winners.

Well dag-gum, I'd put over 2000 mile on the ol truck for a tourney like this.

If I had a boat that would handle the weight needed i would make the trip. I aint gonna travel that far with my lil pond hopper though lol. If I am gonna sink the boat from fish weight i would rather it be closer to the house.
