To better answer your question, Im not going to go much if any further than the distance it takes me to get to south Louisiana from here. Its not the size of the purse that gets our attention, its the type of fishing. Total weight shoots sound fun and all, but I would rather shoot small fish for tournament fishing, much easier and less mess... LOL

Im just saying its a two day tournament and they had like 230 teams this year! 230!!! I believe it's a benefit shoot is why the pay out is so low.

We would be there! 500 miles, 8 hour drive. We were tossing around Clear Lake this year but rumors of few to no fish kept us away. I think it's time for something BIG in the pacific northwest. Shoot we were even tossing around the idea of driving over the Rockies to shoot for a couple weeks, even pick up a tournament over there.

I would be there for sure and not because its close to home since by next May I will be a 1300 mile round trip to American falls… I have been kicking around the idea of traveling to a bigger shoot down south like the Muzzy or Worlds that lets you roll at night just for a fun vacation and see what all the hype is about... IMHO if you want to attract a large number of these tournament shooters from down south or from the mid west they would like to be able to shoot at night...

I know us guys from the WEST like to party it up at night and play grab azz but I would rather be on the water shooting too... I think American Falls at night would be off the hook... also it might give guys a chance to be on the water just in case if the weather blows up during the day...

I'm no stranger to shooting 24 hours strait so it wouldn't be a big deal since I know good numbers of fish could be shot during the day too on that water... I think a 24hour shoot would be fun as hell... but then we run into the problem with the over whelming number of guys from the west that have not or will not invest in a light set up... no shoot is perfect since your always going to have teams that can’t compete due to equipment restrictions kind of like how C.J. is not a Small Horse Power boat friendly body of water...

I really like the idea of a big tournament out west and you can count me in for sure and it will be perfect timing for me since it will give me a chance to break in a new go fast boat…

35+ avg with very little scales... you would be lucky to find a common carp... and for those that want to shoot high numbers of smaller fish it can be done too...

Jake,great points!Down here even when its windy during the day,it usually dies down at night.You are right in that guys are not "set up",for night shooting but a tourney like this is what it may take to "boost em"!I think a 24 hr shoot would seperate the men from the boys and would rack up some unreal numbers!!!!
