Oh, I almost forgot, this boat cost me an additional $45,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wife and I drove from GA to LA to meet clark3 to pick up the boat, and decide to take her truck(that I rarely drive) which is an 08 F250 4x4 5.4 gasser. I drive an 05 F-350 diesel but her truck has cruise, rides better and is more comfy than mine. On the way out there we got 11 mpg. On the way back pulling the boat we got 6 freaking mpg. My right leg was sore from holding the accelerator to the floor for 550 miles. We had to fill up every 100 miles! When we got home I vowed to never drive that POS again!

Monday I traded her gasser in on a 08 F-350 4x4 CC SB 6.4 diesel, 6" lift, 37's with 18,000 miles. The wife loves it, she actually found the truck.

Soooo......including the truck, I've actually got over $60k in the boat, lol.
Hahaha thats good stuff right there

Will, the pleasures of being married! But it sounds like she got a real nice tow rig. How you gonna stop her from loading up and hitting the lake with out you! When we met you guys it seemed like she wanted to go fishing that very instant! I think will has the coolest wife on BFC, just sayin. Will does she outfish ya?
No, she doesn't out shoot me........................yet.
And don't think for a minute that she wouldn't load up and go without me.

Yeah, she is a pretty cool gal. She works on her trucks, and really enjoys it. She has a 93 F-350 CC 4x4 diesel project and, in the two months we've had the truck it has had new manual hubs, batterys, glow plugs, gp relay, starter, altenator, varius relays and switches, etc. I have not turned 1 wrench on it. She's done it all right by herself.

When I met her years ago, she was driving a 79 F150 on 44s.

Thats pretty impressive, girls that drive big trucks are sexy lol

Around 7K, but when that sun sets, there's not a single one of us that wouldn't do it all again!!!
I have taken plenty of people who have spent a ton more than any of us on different hobbies and yet they ALL say "this is the funnest thing I've ever done!"

You say that untill you burn 12 gallons of fuel per hour! Haha I like te avatar pic btw!
i dont burn 1/4 of that an hour....wth you boys doing out west?

fished a 7 hour tourney and burned $59 dollars in gas. that is less then 20 gallons. i am pretty happy with the 509/

I was talking about wide ass open throttle. That was also numbers from a 496 carburated. My EFI set up should be extremely fuel efficient for a BBC.
