Hey all, new to the site and more or less to bowfishing. I went a few times when I was younger with a friend's family member and that is the extent of my experience.

I have been a bow hunter for thirteen years or so now and just ordered a bowfishing kit for my an old Alpine Archery compound bow I had laying around. I've been meaning to get one the last few years and finally decided to. Not knowing anyone around here that bowfishes I think the hardest part of me getting into it is going to be finding places where I actually am allowed to bowfish. I'm bound and determined to start learning though; from what I remember it is a blast!

Welcome from the Marysville area !!! Lots of state lakes around & the carp are starting to hang in the shallows, so go get 'em. There are a few Dayton area shooters I know of so you've got company. If you ever get over to central part, give CarpSkewer or myself a shout & we might be able to get you out on the boat.

I went out to CJ Brown and shoot for the first time last week and was able to get a few shots off from the bank but all were misses. Hopefully I can get back up there this weekend since I'm sure the water will be a little warmer. Sticking a whitetail is so much easier!

Hey if yall ever need another body in the boat I'd be willing to make the drive if just to learn something! It's only about an hour away from these parts.

Hey man chip in for some gas and I'' bring the Carp Tracker out. This is one of the only times of the year I shoot CJ. Good numbers during spawn, other than that they're REAL spread out. And the average size is like shooting shad

Shoot man, I'd PAY for the gas! Like I said, I think I may have shot two or three carp when I was young, other than that I don't have any experience with it and I'm just itching to have found a reason to shoot a bow outside of deer season.
