na,long story but our Blacktail cant technically be recognized as Colombia Blacktails,because there are Mule deer that are on the East slope of the Sierra Nevada Mtns.They think there is a chance of inter breeding.In nearly 100 years of my family keeping records we or anybody we know has never shot a Mule deer here or a deer with any Mule Deer characteristics.If there was cross breeding we would have at least Mule deer tails.....natta.I have been after Jack Reneua for years to allow our sub species to be recognized
