O yeah lemme give the competition all my secret honey holes :p Just messin with ya. Google knights landing n check it out on the map, you'll notice all the ditches in the area and pretty much every one has the same chance to hold a 30lbr. I DO have a few honey holes that I'm NOT gonna share but I will point ya in a genreal direction if ya want. As for the boat, I spoze you could use it on the river and I know its loaded with Carp but I wouldn't even begin to know where to look ( I walk the banks ) My plan is to just run back n forth up 113 most of the day because it has ditches on both sides that all hold fish. Like I said use google maps n check it out you'll see the whole area is nothing but fields n ditches n should be fairly easy even not knowing the area to scare up some fish.

A jonboat would work fine, Both sides of the main bypass areas have mainline type ditches that all the feilds and drainage ditches work off of. They are still basiclly ditches but alot bigger and deeper than the run off ditches (kinda like 2 really small rivers you couldn't run a bass boat up em but a jonboat works) But I can't tell you if it would be worth the effort, I have no idea how good you'd do fishing the main waters cuz I've only ever fished the ditches that work off of them. Both sides of the main waterways hold fish so I'm sure they DO hold fish and lots of them but again I dunno if it'd be worth the effort or not. Couldn't hurt to bring it I guess I dunno if other people will be fishing the rivers with boats or not. Sac slough I dunno if I remember right thats one of the bigger ones were you'd need a boat cuz most of the main waters are not very bank accessible. I'll try to print out a few maps n bring em with me n point ya at some fish if you want. If the banks around there don't do it for ya you could always try the bigger ditches or the rivers with the boat. ALL of the bypass waters eventually end up in either the Sac Feather or Yuba rivers so all the ditches and main waterways in the area are connected. From the Sutter Bypass all the way down to the rivers and even the ditches in between Chico n here as you're comin down hold fish

Yeah if you could bring some pics that would b awesome i have to friends that might go down to the bypass on fri and c how it is cause they wanted to check it out b4 sat i might go with them if i do i will let you know mayb we could meet up and do some pre tourney shootin

I can't figure out how to get google maps to print :( I installed google earth plugin and it works great for pointing out where I'm talking about but cant get it to print, just saves it as a .xps file. from google maps on Knights Landing go north till you see the town on Robbins, the road across the street (Reclimation rd) is a great place to start from the bank. Zoom in n you can see there is a main ditch paralelling the road with drainage ditches running off of it on both sides of the road. The same is true about highway 113, a main ditch with drains running off it on both sides of the road. In theory (depending on how many other people are as clever as me) you could just run back n forth up n down both roads all day long. Sure if ya make it down to scout PM me n ill send ya my cell nmbr n we can meet up somewhere that way your at least not just trying to remember words n you can see the places I'm talking about. :tu:

so i couldnt make it today but my friends went to the bypass and didnt c a fish they are still down there so i think they are going to go look at some sloughs on 113 but id like to meet ya tomorrow morning and if you could point us in the right direction that would be very appreciative

Lol I only saw ONE fish all morning ( I did manage to shoot it though :tu: ) Think its been too hot lately and they are all up in the weeds. As long as I hear from my partner tonight I'll see ya in the morning ( My truck has a sticker like my avatar in the back window) and if not just follow the ditches young grasshopps and the fish will find you lol

Sorry homie my partner friggin flaked out on me n my lazy ass son didn't wanna go. You do any good? The ditches around there are pretty easy to figure out after all eh? What was the most # 's and biggest fish?
