Seen most if the pictures but still amazes me everytime I look at them. Simply this is a bad a$$ mother trucker rig.

With that said don't forget my advice, it isn't a show boat, it's a fish killing boat! Don't sweat the small stuff and every detail. It's already probably the most custom most thought out and practical rig I know of. Let's button it up and kill some fish! If you gotta go back and upgrade later so be it but at least you will be able to enjoy all your blood sweat and probably some tears not to mention the coin you have put into the rig!

In all seriousness, today was a day of days. Two years to the day-she hits water. I was beginning to think it was never gonna happen!

So here's my two cents on the changes I've made-I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. The good, the bad, the fugly...

First off, my Opti is a freakin DEMON!! Talk about giddy-UP! It's only 40 more ponies than my last rig, but it performs like its 100 more. I'm sure most of it is because the hull and transom are so rediculusly stiff, but it jumps on plane in 2-3 boat lengths, and when I dropped the hammer from a cruising speed I almost lost my grip on the steering wheel. I wasn't quite expecting the jump. No joke, this thing has stupid fast exceleration! Top end was rippin, but I didn't GPS it yet. I'm slightly under pitched on the prop, plus the motor isn't broke in yet. I'm hoping to see close to 60mph...if I can get the prop right.

The extra ice runners-I noticed it cornered 'tighter' then the last boat. No real surprise there. I did some slow to medium speed turns, and it held pretty tight. It was a bit different, but it wasn't bad at all. The MotherShip had just a crimped bottom, and one thing I loved was high speed slides! To be honest I'll miss the sliding a lil bit, but I won't lie, it felt good to have the precision of this bottom. I'll decide if it stays after I do some higher speed turning.

The worst part of today was the amount of porposing it had. This really shocked me, as the last boat had NONE. Same boat, same size/weight motor, same jackplate. The only difference I can think of is I don't have a hydrofoil on yet, and I'm running a totally different prop. The 'foil might take some of the hop out, but I'm thinking my issue is the prop itself. My last prop was a Lazer II, and now I'm running a Tempest Plus. The Tempest is a performance prop, and a bigger diameter. I was hoping to pick up some speed and acceleration, but if it turns out to be the source of my porposing I'll go back to the Lazer.

The last negative was a few leaking bolts in the poly. Nothing major, but after beating on it for 45mins I had a few cups of water collect in the back. Not sure what I'm gonna do about those, but they are definitely getting fixed in the near future. Possible options are sealing washers, silicone, or drilling em out and stepping up to 5/16 bolts that are threaded and tapped. I think I may have drilled a few of the holes slightly too large on these, which allows water to leach through.

I think after I fix the issues I'll have a juggernaut of a bowfishing rig. Overall I'm jacked about how the first drive went. I was just in awe with how light and nimble this thing feels! It just handles like it weighs nothing! I was expecting tank like performance, but I think she's got a lil bit of Ducati somewhere in the family tree :D

I still have a ton of pics to post-this rodeo ain't over yet kids. There's still a bunch of neat stuff to come. Stay tuned...

Probably just needs some weight up front. Once you get lights and all that stuff up there it'll probably cut down on that a lot.

I agree, the original handles a lot different when the batteries were out and wanted to porpoise a bit. I would add the foil and continue to rig before you worry to much about the porpoisIng

Thanks for the kind words guys :D

I hope y'all are right about the hopping. It was pretty bad, but with a 'foil on the motor and a few group 31's up front maybe that'll cut down on it. I remember when I tested the MotherShip out for her max speed I unloaded everything I could, and she didn't hop one bit on me, unless I trimmed her too far up.

I'm gonna try and talk to a few peeps about this prop. Hopefully that isn't the issue, because with this setup she FLIES outta the hole! I'd hate to lose that.

Stick with the tempest. The props not the problem. I can't remember but what size opti is it and what pitch prop?

I got your full sized driver buddy....

Thanks guys-I'm relieved to get her wet, but hoping the hydrofoil helps. I installed a SE 400 this afternoon-water test 2.0 slated for tomorrow...ill see if I can stuff some brave young kid up under the deck. Ungashick-you down brudda?!

Ya I did some research, and couldn't find anything that attributes that prop to porpoising. I love the props ability to just PUSH-it's pretty aggressive. I have a 175, running a 21P Tempest Plus. Actually if I change pitch it would have to be down if anything. I'll know for sure how close I can get to redline with this size after I get my hop fixed. I don't think I'm too far off though.

How are you planning to use all the space above your bow?

Climb in there threw the small access whole in the front?

The reason i ask is because that is what i do. it sucks.
I was planning on smuggling over Canadian refugees :D

Last boat I put my onboard charger, 4 group 31's, anchor, spare life jackets, rope, tool kit, and other odds n ends under the front deck. It'll get utilized, and it's actually pretty easy to crawl under there. I made a pretty good size door, and there's a small floor so I can be halfway comfy. It's not bad.
