Please dont anyone take this wrong. I have got a few pm;s that said they joined and havent received any info yet. I know the promo has been up for a week and people have no patience. But in this day and age people want it now! I Know Lisa is very busy and this comes after family and work, but can we have a couple of people in charge of new member "orientation"? Or maybe a immediate reply to any paypal purchase that says to expect to receive your new member email in a week? just want your thoughts. I know we have all worked so hard just dont want it to blow up in our face if someone gets mouthy on the net.
 
They should receive a confirmation email from Paypal as soon as they send money. As far as sending out the welcome email? ......... I don't know enough about what we do now to make an educated guess on how to improve it.
 
I would love to help with whatever I can but I gotta say this Points Chairman/Sanctioning position keeps me busy. I think the paypal confirmation email is good enough and as long as we get the packets out to them within that week then they should be good to go.
 
The confirmation goes out immediately, and lisa has to enter their info in a few places to keep track of it... I spoke with her, and she or i will need to make everyone aware that it will take a week or so to get it out.... We can work on another system to try and improve on getting it out, but i do not want to mess up her system she has.... And they may just have to wait a week..... I can see what may help her get out the e-mails faster, but agan, do not want to rush too much to lose someone in the mix......
 
they should get a confirmation from paypal immediately. I now work 40 plus hours a week and the new memberships are coming in like crazy. I will post that they are going to have to be patient. I don't get home til after 6 everynight and I'm sorry but I have to feed my crew before 8. FYI here are the steps that I have to take. I'm still trying to figure out a way to make this a quicker process but maybe taking longer in the front end is going to be soooo much better when I get ready to do reports!
Get the membership or renewal
check spreadsheet to see if they are current, expired, or new members
goes on excel spreadsheet so I can track expirations, I haven't been able to figure out how to do that in my new system yet
for new members you have to enter all the info in Quickbooks and excel
create a inv
receive payment
send email packets, plus put in the welcome or thank you letter
doesn't seem like a lot but it takes quite a bit of time especially if they are new
anyway not gripping just keeping your filled in on the steps that this requires.

We must be doing something right were bringing in new members and were driving Lisa nuts :p
 
Sound like you got excel working very well, can not help with Quick!
But you tell me what all you need and I write you a program to do it all.
I can write code to make excel do what you want all so, but I can make vb do way more.
