been quite a bit of progress. redid the trailer, the boat was riding on the bunks so i converted the bunk and put a spacer in the leaf springs to keep the tires lower off the boat hull. The floor is all the way installed its in the shop getting welded up so ill have those pic this weekend hopefully. otherwise the decks are going on this weekend and the rest of the sheet metal is going on the center console that was installed last weekend. I go to college in the twin cities so progress is only made friday through sunday night but i plan to be on the water may 26th… hopeful

the material is only .070 its the same thickness as the original hull. I know i know that its thin but after all the bracing added the hull is quite strong i haven't had time to take a pic of the furthest progress. its getting the final welding done today and will have more pics this coming weekend

Just curious why you decided to rivet and epoxy instead of welding the seams? Lack of welder or just preference? I also have a 1648 and have been considering a very similar project.
lack of welder and time consuming. Im in the progress of putting up some more pictures. The whole thing couldn't be riveted so i had the transom and front rack welded. It is now water ready just have to finish the rest of the decking and get a repaint done but that will be end of the season i just want to go kill stuff now
