Well I've been traveling a lot making it hard to start this boat I'm dreaming good about but I finally ordered my material. I'll drive down and pick it up at the end of the week. Already have the motor which I'm really excited about it's a evinrude 225 I picked up and converted to a jet. Boat will be getting a kicker one day but have to gain a few pecos before that can happen.

This is my first full boat build so I'll be asking a lot of questions and advice.bottom will be 3/16 and sides 2x2 tubing front to back and 1.5 by 1.5 to sit on top of that centered every foot

Rough sketch

Well down in Louisiana picking up the material tomorrow morning. Wish I could afford a guide to shoot some new water but 800 is way to steep for me.

Boat is gonna be a slick bottom if it doesn't turn I'll add my own runners out of angle

Just a few questions for now looks like I'm gonna have to cut my 2x2 every few inches to form the rake what should I use thinking a wood chop saw blade might be to much?how should I trace out the 6ft rake on the sides? How many upright braces should I have on the sides and some say tie floor to sides some don't

Thank guys I've ben hitting it hard because i'll be working seven days a week for the next five weeks on an outage and i'm shooting for a finished boat in July

As for the side supports I was to nervous to not have any boat will get 5 per side

And duty cycle is probably something I should know more about but to be honest I just brush And weld and take random breaks to allow it to cool down

Well got time this weekend to do a little work the 2x2 tubing took a lot longer than I thought it would. Saturday we flipped the boat and I tig welded the outside seams was able to get it flipped back over and shoot a few fish with my buddies. Sunday welded in drain plugs and did a water test no leaks. Gonna do all the knee bracking and back deck this coming weekend and hang motor. Picked up a tracker tandem trailer with brakes
