And the asian carp are as thick as we have ever seen. The silvers are averaging 1--12 lbs with many larger ones being shot below the dam, and there are literally millions of them from Utica to Henry. And the bigheads and grass carp are all over the place! Some recent trip photos;

I oughta beat u for using that widow to shoot fish lol.. can't wait, were headed out in the a.m. to see what its all about over there in Hoosier land..
Hoosier land is one state over! Almost lost that widow a couple weeks ago. Ive been bowfishing since 94 in my boat off a platform and never fell in......until a couple weeks ago when I hit a stump with the wind from a storm blowing me sideways. I went in and dropped the bow. Luckily one of my partners nephews snagged it with a treble hook. I was ready to put the snorkel gear on!

Gonna take a look at the great prizes we have for the day shoot over the next few days starting off with these great lights sent to us from Kelly at Hawglite! Whoever takes the smallest bighead carp wins the new Ghost light. And second place will receive a new marauder light. HUGE thanks to Kelly and all the great people at Hawglite for these great prizes!!!

AND....if you shoot the biggest smallmouth buffalo you win a $150 gift certificate from Bowfishing Extreme! Second place wins a $50 certificate......thanks to Scott and everyone else at Bowfishing Extreme!!!!

Thanks to Harry and our good friends at the 3 Rivers Marina we will award a year long ramp pass valued at $230 to the competition as the;
[move]3 RIVERS AVERAGE JOE COMPETITION!!![/move]

What we will do is use the Big 6 competition to determine an average Joe award. Total weight of all fish entered divided by the number of teams entering the fish will determine the average. Whoever is closer will be awarded this great prize. THANKS HARRY & EVERYONE AT # RIVERS MARINA!!!

3 teams scouting say ther are seeing grass carp and asians all over the place today.

We will have 4 ways for participants to win a bow this year! Want an AMS bow? You will win a fire eagle combo if you shoot the biggest bighead carp! And if your under 16 you can win a fish hawk JR at the Illinois Youth Bowfishing Championship!

Want to win a Hydrostrike? You will if you take the biggest grass carp in the Innerloc Big Grassie Competition. OR....if you bring in the smallest 6 fish of different species you will win a Hydrostrike!

In addition to all the fish competition prizes if you come up short on the fish prizes you can win some great stuff from the prize table donated by Innerloc, F&D Archery, Shureshot, Cabelas, AMS, Black Widow and more!

Just picked up 320 hot dogs, 150 bags of chips, made up a few hundred awards, got all the prizes lined up.

Tony picked up prizes from Cabelas and Wayne picked up some great Plano bow/arrow/point/fishing cases from plano molding.

you guys and gals are gonna like this shoot!!
