I am gonna put some outriggers on my 1432 to make it a little more stable. I have heard a lot of different ways of going about this and am looking to get the most accurate/reasonable plans for going about it. If ya'll could post a plan for doing this, how much it costs (estimate), and some other useful info I would greatly appriciate it. Thank you in advance! :tu:

I had a 1432 that I used bowfishing for a year because it was all I had. It would hold two people, a deck, 8 hps lights, and a gen and float..... but not by much. With the over sized 20hp motor I was running and two batteries I was way over the weight limit. I went out my first night I had ever shot during the spawn and almost sunk my boat with fish. There was only about 2in between the rails and the water. I sold my boat for 1000 and bought a 1648 for $1300. I love the room, but I wish I would have bought an even bigger boat already. Even if you can get the 1432 to float, you still dont have any floor room and when it is loaded down it floats much deeper than a bigger wider boat.
Long story short. Dont sink money into a boat you will sink if you have a good night fishing. Get a 1648 or bigger and you will be much happier.

Tell you what, I've been looking through the boats forum for deck ideas and pictures, and have come across probably 4 or 5 other threads about ccc's new boat. The little devil on my shoulder wants me to bump them all, but so far I have resisted.

This poor guy catches more crap on this site than anyone out there. Although in the year or so I've been on here he has been building boats the WHOLE time. I must say I've gotten some great information off some of his started threads though lol... Some how all the new ones turn into CCC bashing time. Good humor though.... op:

It's was weird because I'm looking through pages and pages of threads looking for deck builds..then after a while I realize I'm seeing the same names, same post. Then a half hour later it is the same post again. Then I realized it was not my mind wandering, they are actually different post with slightly different questions asked.
Anyway, CCC, get a decent size boat that you don't need outriggers for if you want to weigh it down. 16 ft for 3 +gear, 18 for 4 +gear.

Wow just read some old post! I read 3 post and 5 differnt boats were talked about?! And a custom rig from *******?! WTF HAPPENED? Have you even drove a side console boat? Or pulled a trailer? When I was 16 me and a buddy had a 16 foot Jon with a troller and loved it! I would have loved to be able to think about getting a custom boat at 16! Or maybe just a car!

X2 hate to admit it but seems alot like me at his age. I was running trap line before school, building rafts floating the river, hunting and fishing and camping out .My Dad was also supportive and spent alot of time hunting and fishing camping also. I was also hard headed and almost 50 now but at least (I hope)he's interested in the outdoors instead of alot of the stuff other kids are into these days. As stated I don't want crush dreams and if was closer would try to help him out. I will even extend an invite to fish with us if he ever gets down on the eastern shore of DelMarVa to give me a shout or shoot me a p.m. CCC let me know if you ever come down to Md/De beaches and if schedules work out we can see about getting you on the water to shoot some stingrays or carp and gar..don't get frustrated I know is tough with no money but listen to the advice given. Noone is trying to do you wrong just save you money and effort. If your actually serious about a build. but it aint as easy to get 16'+ around here there definetly not under 1000 bucks bare boat
I wish I could get a something bigger but just right out don't have the money to go n buy another boat
my next one is gonna be a 1872 or something but im happy with the 1436 for now
