That box looks really nice. I've never seen one of those blowers. Is it blowing in or out. I would suggest blowing in because it will take in cooler air from outside and force your hot air out the exhaust hole. I would be careful of the carpet overlapping the inside near your exhaust. It also looks pretty black around your exhaust hole. If it's from the heat you might want to make the hole a little bigger. Just a couple of suggestions. Take them for what they're worth. Like I said, it looks good up there on that rack.:tu:

Yep that's it. I just built it to try because I had all the stuff laing around the garage, and it worked better than I could ever imagine

I used to roll my eyes at people who would say you dont need a genny box just buy a honda or yamaha. Well I bit the bullet and bought 2 honda eu2000I's and thats all you need to be quiet. I can hear my cell phone ring over my gennys. Got to bite the bullet if you want to reduce the noice. Not only are they quiet but I run all 8 of my 150 hps's on 1 honda and my lights dont flicker like they did with my wen power 3500.

That and $1800.00. A box is a cheap alternative for the guys on a budget.

Hey pbrad, that box is freakin sweet! How big is the whole thing? and what kind/size generator did you put in it?

40inches long by 21 wide by 23 tall, i have a 6500 watt briggs generator, the box didnt have to be that big but i built it big enough to fill the platform on my genny stand. There is two to three inches between the generator and the box at the front and back and probably 15 inches on one side and 5 on the other. I should be able to hear my kicker motor runnig now that is how much the box dampend the genny noise.
