Just cut the barb off 2/3rds way down and that will work fine just dont fight them too hard or they will pull off

 

If you know what the cables for then the rest falls into place I mean the rest doesn't make sense without the cable

These work great on gar and drum and frogs!! Not so much on anything else.:tu:

 

We just throw em in the bottom of the boat and if I mount something pointy like that say on the back of the deck I WILL impale myself at some point. I think I just have to much time on my hands and want to tinker with something

 

I know what your talking about, but we don't use barrels

 

What do you put your fish in? lol you can mount it to anything in the boat I would think

 

Cut the barbs shorter and make you a "fish rake" On your barrel..... basically a steel "V" mounted to the top side of the barrel that you slide the fish in and rake them off the arrow... I have seen a thread on here about it but it may have been on the old site.

 

Yeah I got sure shots and sting a rees and stingrays but im looking for something quicker. Our gar are small and even with those tip ipit still have to put pressure on the fish to twist them off. I just want them to come off with a quick flip o the wrist. Ill prolly try cutting the barbs like brady and ttgs. Said

I hear ya the whole point is to not mess with unscrewing them I made up another point with steel wire instead of the weed eater cord I just don't think it will last over 2 to 300 fish. And kuger is that aqua killer point one where you pull the tip out and the barbs fold inside it? I have a bunch of them laying around somewhere never thought of trying them

 

yes,that sounds like them.I like them for numbers

 

I have never even seen a Gar,but I know for numbers,and non-rocky bottoms the old Aqua Killer points are slick!You just squeeze the barbs back in and your good to go

 

So you clip them all off or do you leave a little bit ...just seems to easy lol

 

I've never tried it but I bet if you clip the barbs short on a Gene Davis or a Stinger that would probably work really good for getting them off the arrow quicker.I have tried the weed eater string in Muzzys and that sucks.It don't hold them worth a chit and it breaks way to easy.
