But...but but...I wanna spend quality time with Timmy :(

He said if I come out he'd teach me how to play swords...whatever that means?

Nah seriously I'd buy a machine if I could justify the price. From what I've heard good machines are pricey. I still wanna try it though, just to see how tricky it is.

You can pick up older syncrowaves for cheap. 1500-2000

U still wanting to sell that 350?
I called miller 1 day bout the 350p aluminum that I had brought up to u on another thread. They said the only difference is the drive motor. AndThat the regular 1 is better bc u can weld other stuff and not just aluminum but all features are the same

Dammit boy-don't temp me...

I'll have you (or someone) show me what's it's about, and if I can stick 2 pieces of metal together.... I'd prolly end up buying a machine. I'm like you-Id TIG everything!
I don't think I wanna be on a boat with you two in the dark anymore. Gettin awful cozy up in here! Dang sword fighters anyway.

Northtexasslayer. Not trying to hyjack this thread BUT I am playing with a 350p not the aluminum model and am getting close to what i want to see , what settings are you running? I am using a spool gun. 035 wire Welding 1/8 inch alu.I use this set up all the time on steel , Just trying to get it right with Alu. I am surprised at how fast i have to move.

Sell some of those high dollar western coyotes and buy the push pull gun for your 350p. It's way more better than a spool gun. :D

FoxPro, like the guys above said I use a push pull gun to fully utilize the machine.
The speed that I run depends on what wire I'm running (4043 or 5356). Also, be sure your machine is set up in pulse mode, not MIG. If its on MIG and not pulsing it'll weld WAY hotter...
For 4034 wire I run 50 arc length / 340 on wire speed.
For 5356 wire I run 50 arc length / 470 on wire speed.
These numbers are for welding 5052 plate.....
