Just started my build on one tonight. These things look like a lot of fun. Still lookin for a fiberglass rod. I know they said you can find em at tractor supply so maybe I'll have to make the drive out there to pick a few up. I'll have to get with skippy on how to get that mount for the retriever figured out as well. Also wondering if I could find a way to get a legit rest on here instead of the makeshift one they used so let me know if anyone has some ideas. Here's the video I used if anybody else was lookin for it. The build wasn't hard at all either. And that's comin from a not so handy man.

At first i wanted to say just drill a hole through the bow a little above where you want the rest and bolt the rest on there, but that would mess up the fiberglass rod. Could you not use say 3/4 or 1" conduit strap or something similar? Get a shorter bolt mount the rest through the hole in the strap, the strap tightens around the bow, in theory tightens down enough to hold the rest in place. Might could use 2 straps for the retriever mount also? I'm building one of these also at some point and have been pondering some of these different mounting options.

I designed a bracket to mount a muzzy fish hook to them ... and the retriever bracket ... I am going on vacation this weekend but next week I will take some pictures of the brackets I make for them.
