Ed, WOW! After much deliberation if I would even respond to this trash I decided I wanted to clarify a few things with you. Again, these are MY opinions that I sent you. They are not of any organizations, manufacturers or the like. I will tell you, when you contact the insurance company make sure to state that you are no longer a member of the BAA and not representing them in any fashion. As far as tom goes, please have him call me. Since he never returned Mark Lee's phone calls or mine, I would like to hear those accusatons he levied against the BAA in person and not from a keyboard, the way he did 2 weeks ago.
You seem to forget that the bowfishing community is still a small one. Everyone always has a little history on someone. With that being said, I have fueled your gossip mill for quite sometime. I will tell you though, I OWN the words I write to you. You should try that.
Have a good day,
Jason .

Jason, as I have said, please stop emailing me, messaging me or contacting me in any way what so ever re. the BAA. I am no longer a member and no longer a officer and simply have moved on. Maybe you should do the same and worry about your business. Your harrassing emails and messages are not welcome.

Once again though, I have every email I have ever wrote to the insurance carrier and their responses. In each I was contacting them as a officer of the BAI. Never had I mentioned the BAA except for the first one where we were going to cancel our policy, the BAI policy, and sanction our shoots using BAA insurance when I became a state rep in 2009. It was after this 2009 email that I was informed that BAA insurance would not cover our club, even though the BAA said it would, had been selling event coverage for $75 per event before, and continued to sell event coverage for $75 per event for over a year after Mark Lee knew of the situation. All emails can be forwarded to anyone as proof of this libel you continually spew at me.

As far as Tom goes, he wants nothing to do with you or the BAA. Get over it Jason, worry about your own business and grow the BAA. But move on for christ sake!

Your words are from you, a BAA board member, Cajun Prostaff member and AMS prostaff member. Again, unless you want to have a mature conversation re. ways to help bowfishing, please, dont contact me. .

I contacted you re. the auction and pizza. Unfortunately I brought up the BAA . I am sorry for doing that.

Again, I will never, I mean never mention the BAA in one of my posts, articles or anything. I do not care what they do nor am I personally interested at the present time.

Best of luck to you and the BAA.

ps....I have just pulled up the old emails from the insurance co. They go back to 2007 when we, the BAI, got our first policy started.

eg....from 2007

Ed,

I have a real problem with your email to Karen. You simply cannot use the Bowfishing Association of American's insurance coverage because you simply state 'you are' or because you are now an officer of the BAA. It simply doesn't work that way. The Bowfishing Association of Illinois is an entity unto itself so it is to have its own liaibility coverge. If you want coverage for the BAI, then complete the attached application and submit so coverage can be issued.
If you have any questions, then give me a call.

Thanks!

I had a discussion with Mark yesterday and after reviewing the website, I am going to have to have another one as well.

The problem is the club/chapters such as the Bowfishing Association of IL or the Bowfishers of Arkansas which are separate entities and not insured but any member of that entity who is a member of BAA is an insured. In short, if someone would sue the BAI or BOA there would be a problem, but if a member of the BAA who would happen to also be a member of BAI or BOA were sued they would be covered. I’ve gone through this same situation with a number of Associations and it can be solved. If chapter entities are to be insured as well then there is a difference in premium versus what the premium is now for the BAA. In short, each club/chapter is a self sufficient legal entity that needs to either have their own policy, or I need to include every club/chapter entity for coverage in the BAA policy. You mention Certificates of Insurance which are only issued in the name of the BAA and does not have any Club name on it which again means only the BAA and its members are insureds.

I have cc’d Mark as well to keep him in the loop on this issue. When national type entities have chapters associated with it then there are simply coverage issues for both members and the chapter entities depending on how coverage is issued and the amount of premium paid. What you stated in your last sentence is fine for coverage as it’s a BAA even, but I see on the BAA website club names referenced and these club/chapter entities are not insured under the BAA.

..................................

So Jason, ask yourself why did the BAA continue to sanction shoots when they knew about this? Why were other clubs officers put as risk when this was known? There lies the problem Jason. Now if you want to believe all the BS someone is telling you, fine! I dont care!! Im done with it!
But there is a perfctly legal paper trail here showing what transpired. We did not use BAA sanctioning after learning of this and have been insured thru the Sader co. even since.

Again....best of luck. .

BTW Jason. Im sorry to send you another PM after asking you to not contact me anymore. But I wanted to send you a paragraph out of a full size article I and Laurie Hauke did for the Airboating Magazine. They came all the way up here to see the Americas outdoor show we were at and do a story. I have the original article proof here if you think Im making this up, but just to give you ammo for your accusation that Tom and I were plotting to harm the BAA for several years, here is what was written in the article. Remember this is a feature article with several pictures

'The Bowfishing Association of America helps to organize
and promote bowfishing tournaments. It also fights for the
bowfisherman’s rights to bowfish. It works with area Department of Natural Resources in the fight to control the spread of these types of invasive fish. It has state chapters across the U.S. For additional information check out www.BowfishingAssociation.com. "

You can really see how much I intended to harm the organization. This will be in the next issue. As I said, you should be ashamed of yourself for saying what you did.
