I like your posy, it really put cover value in to what we are try to achieve. Any pictures of the green tint on water why3zx?
I did not take any pictures, I will when the amber and yellow show up, ill put one on each lens and see if perhaps I can possibly get some illustrative pics, as has been expressed many times it is inherently hard to capture nuances such as the effect of color with a camera.

Ill be trying along with you to photo document the difference between green and amber. Im gonna tint them different from left to right and.try to get pics and shoot the night and see which is preferred. You are the second person ive heard say they live the green so its now on the list. LED study at its finest, lol.

C'mon Friday!

...yep,gotta run the little 27's because of the weight concern on my folding deck:tu: Hes running a mixture, two 50s up front and a bunch of 27s all the way around
I'm thinking of getting 2 more 40W's up front for a little more coverage. You 2 like them 50W's?

I loved my 50s. But there is a fine line when more isnt better. When I went from 6 to 10, I really couldnt see much of a difference. A tiny bit more coverage overlapping, but no further light going out

Jeff, a question for ya" what is your distance on them lights?" port side bow & starboard side?

Its coming this weekend as long as I can find it. Whenever I didnt give a rats as about it I saw it everywhere but now that I want some I cant get it locally. I got the amber tint on and im gonna rrun one side amber other side green and see which one is better. I think donarkie was the one who sold me on not even wasting my time trying amber and standard lights against each other.

As soon as they have LED light that put out at least 30,000 lumens at 400 watt I am staying with my digital ballast.
My 2 cent plus tax make 5!!
PS and do not cost a 1K!
Yeah and only 3 of them will put out more light than a deck stacked plum full of led's. Unless running silent is the objective then led's aren't economical or anything else lol.

Thanks for great advise Capt Obvious.

No one ever said that LED where the best. Yes HPS and MH put out more light but we all have our own reasons for trying something new. I personally like the fact that they are smaller and lighter and in ruff water I dont have to worry about busting bulbs.
