Well, I just picked up the donor! Am so excited to take a saw to this beauty! LOL I gave a little more than I wanted to for it but its an absolute beast! I'll post more pics of it later tonight.

okay so here is more pics of the donor i promised. i am so happy to have finally gotten one. it has been a long search. this is a 2000 polaris genesis 1165cc 135hp. has 175 hours on it, which i didnt think was too bad for being 12 years old. it runs great. only thing i can see possibly becoming an issue in the future is that it has a push button electronic reverse gate. we are gonna try to stay with the electronic for now but if it ever goes, we will switch it out to manual like most of the jet skis have. all and all though, i think this beast is gonna be awesome!

lol. i actually had that thought cross my mind as i was driving home with it. then i thought, man this thing would be alot of fun as is. then when i got home, my daughter said, can we keep it daddy? then my wife said, it sure would be nice to have a jet ski to ride during the summer......... and then....... i came to my senses and thought.... hmmmm, a merc 40hp outboard jet = $8,000? or a bad ass 135hp inboard jet that you could freakin ski behind = $1,500? then i just got excited and decided i cant wait to have the stinkin sawsall in my hands. LOL

charging the jet ski battery tonight cuz i just cant resist the urge to open this thing up wide open across the lake before we chop it up. lol. will either take it for a spin tomorrow morning or sunday morning. planning to disassemble and prep for chop on sunday. will keep everyone posted.

well this thread dang near got me divorced. i found it so interesting that i spent half of last night researching this on youtube. of course i drank a few beers while researching. next thing i know i was passed out drunk on the couch and my ole lady was NOT happy.

LMAO!!!!! freakin hilarious...... pretty awesome to check out on youtube though. i have checked alot of videos out, however it always seems like they are dropping jet ski engines in these little tiny boats just to see how fast they can make them go. and its usually a super old beat up boat with like a 550cc or 750cc that a couple good ol boys throw in after drinkin a couple cases of beer. i could be wrong, but i only make this assumption after you see them in a 10 footer, straddling the engine, the stern of the boat sitting an inch out of the water, and them going 0mph to 50mph in about 2 sec and then laughing their asses off..... I stinkin love it! I just have not really seen it done at all in a bowfishing application or very much with an engine of this size.... really looking forward to it. hope the wife wasn't too mad. lol
