Right on. Glock pretty much summed up why for me. (thanks, dan) but, I have had the debate on several other threads and realize that as long as we fish with lights on our bows, we will be considered the outcasts. lol... but, ... we will just keep on whooping on teams with lights that are mounted on their boats. bahahaha

Just got in from a long night in the garage. Got a bunch of much needed work done on the boat. Got the electrical box for the engine mounted, the steering stick mounted, and the steering and throttle all hooked up. Was kind of a pain in the butt due to the fact that the steering stick cannot be mounted to the rear deck because of the deck being able to fold up. All the controls are having to be stationary, separate from the rear deck. Its going on 2am and I am absolutely beat! I am so ready for this build to be done! LOL..... Getting close though. Took plenty of pics from tonight, will post them in the morning if I have time before I leave for work.

Seems alright. Haven't had a chance to drive it with this setup yet because everything is frozen around here. But, I had it mounted to the stick I threw together for the original test run. Gonna get a big warm up this week, so I'm gonna try to dump it in and take it for a spin. Are you not running the throttle mounted on the stick for your setup right now?

Yes i am running that setup. I takes some getting used to but I love it. It was easy to mount and freed up space on my boat.

All that work and now for sale whats next? I was thinking when I had my potoon that if I had a jet ski I would mount it in between the toons than you could just un hook go scout then hook back in HA Ha need a hell of a troller to move it after that. good luck with selling

hope you get things worked out... My brother inlaw called me the other day and said he had a jet ski for me apparently the people that bought it from him wrecked it and busted the front end up pretty bad so they are scrapping it. Bad for them but good for me. I get a free ski to cut up and put in the basement till I can find a donor boat to drop it in. I have a 1648 I am building now but it is too late in the year to start a jet jon project if I wanna fish the boat this spring.

that's awesome, tbone! when youre ready to start, I know of a good boat build thread on BFC that you can use for a guide. LOL. If I can sell I will, we could really use the money. But, worst case scenario, the way I got it figured.... I don't sell and we get to fish out of an awesome 1648 jet jon this season!
