hey guys wondering if anyone can give me some input on bowfishing stingray in Delaware or Maryland, im looking to go down late spring or summer and don't know the first thing about where to go. the closer to PA the better! im not looking to drive too far if possible. any input would be great!

Go mid summer, late june. Put out at sandy point state park and find some flats and sand bars. Order a map of the northern/middle Chesapeake and study it well. Not sure if they go all the way up to the Susquehanna flats.

Just south of Kent Island, eastern bay is classic known Stingray area for cownose Rays. Hard to tell with water temps cold so far this year but normally Early-Mid June is the stingray "Rut"

Putting in at Sandy Point state park aka Seal Beach and work down the west shoreline towards the Severn river , will save you the ramp permit fee of $50 needed on kent island also.

Bring a good Floper stopper, gaf, fillet knife and pliers. We gaf those suckers best bet is under their head so it controls them and gives you an easy shot with the flooper stopper. Hit them hard a few times to calm them down. Once they arnt going crazy grab there barb with pliers and cut off barb with the knife. Takes one or two to get the system down but will keep you guys from a lot of pain.

I went for rays last year for the first time and shot some im from PA also and we went to kents island great place and only 2 hour from where im from in PA just find drop offs and a good pair of polarized glasses is a must
