He was fishing he was just running fish up in coves and then hauling to another spot and running wide open into a cove and etc. It was insane. Yes I'm sure he had open headers etc but still it was stupid loud. Heck I hated it and I don't live on the lake couldn't imagine someone making that much noise out in front of my house all night..........
Thats why.... Fishing is one thing, running fish up in coves and then hauling to another spot and running wide open into a cove is another... I see what your saying though and I can completely agree with the homeowners, I too would be upset if it was an ongoing 3,4 times a week ordeal, but the same time

I been threatened by the best of them home owners and game wardens...I still don't know who enforces the no airboats law on Richland chambers and cedar creek..but I really don't care... at all... don't live by the train tracks if you don't want to hear trains.... we r gonna have rowboats and LED lights on all the Bowfishing rigs before you know it. honestly I will find other places that allow airboats so I can combined fishing hunting and racing all at the same time before I give up the air boats.

Did anyone else just picture Yosemite Sam throw his little cowboy hat on the ground and stomp on it or was it just me?

It doesn't take money or a big lake house to get tick off at some idiot with a loud boat shaking your windows at 3 a.m.
Most lake house owners that put up with the ridiculous noise from these boats think ALL bowfisherman use this type boat.
Loud rigs and fish dumping will end bowfishing in some places.

Skimming through and I see someone quote ol' Virgil... wait make that Virgil Earp lol. Yep, this is BFC!

I think there are already restrictions on the river nearest me. Heavily populated area, so there are town and township noise ordinances. A few years ago a southerner moved up here and brought a 400 hp airboat. As I recall he got fined but I don't know if it was HP restrictions or noise ordinance violations. I don't know if he bowfished, but he thought he was going to show us how to kill all the ducks and geese on a river rendered unhuntable for long stretches due to houses.

Well said, but we can all agree that if people would quit acting stupid, we could probably squeeze by this nonsense :rage:
False. Yeah airboats are or can be very loud but the homeowner chose that location on a public waterway the problem is they think that they own it now. Yeah I'm sure there are some knuckleheads in blow boats raising hell near houses but at the same time, they're allowed to, its a public area, staying away or idle speed is just a common courtesy and in most cases (not familiar with every states laws) not the law.regardless of if people "quit acting stupid" it's not gonna change the homeowners false sense of entitlement that he/she owns the water and won't stop them from complaining regardless of if its a airboat or troller/led rig

The road in front of your house is a public area.If an idiot with a mega watt stereo comes crusin by at 3 a.m. shakin your windows because it's his right thats a good thing?? I will agree that some waterfront land owners think they own the water.
