Since there is not much going on here I thought I'd ask this....What has been the evolution of your lighting setup for those who have had multiple setups. What did you start with to what you have now? Go!

QBeam 1,000,000 power spotlight held by one guy, other guy shooting.
QBeam spotlight mounted to stabilizers, cords running to the battery under the deck.
Rechargeable spotlights on stabilizers.
Halogen work lights from Home Depot and a $100 Craigslist generator.
Yamaha inverter and 6 custom 400W HPS lights (current set up)

Halogen, 20 year break then started with 27watt LEDS then went to 50 Watt Moonshine LEDS and I am about to change to HYDRO GLO 50 watt LEDS they are by far the best and brightest 50 watt LED that I have played with. I can have 4 of my Moonshines on and when I turn on 1 Hydro Glo it over powers the 4 50's I know this sounds crazy but I have had 3 other people check it out and they all agree the Hydro Glo is way brighter. The only thing we can think of that is causing this is they have 45 separate LEDS instead of 1 chip set and each one is on a 60 degree beam instead of 120 but you still get at least as much coverage if not more than a standard 50 watt LED

12v 55w halogens with a huge C battery
500w halos and big gen
150w HPS with small gen
400w MH medium gen
400w HPS same gen
Shot over LED's on couple diff boats, not bad, but They just can't compete with the HPS

1. 2 500w Halogens (jobsite lights) on the front of a 26' pontoon boat while dad was driving. (3500 watt old school beast genny)
2. bow mounted lights while trolling on my ranger bass boat
3. 5 150w HPS on an 1860 flatbottom, flush deck (champion 1500w non-inverter)
4. 8 50w LEDs 12V on an 1860 flatbottom, raised deck (2 group 31 batteries)
5. 16 50w LEDs 120v on a 2072 flatborrom, flush deck (2k Honda genny)
5a. looking at getting on top of the lights with a removable platform so I can use my rig for big water duck hunting as well.

Started out with the Sun

Moved on to the night with mag lights duck taped to our bow (Never killed a thing)

Moved on to 6 - 500w Halo's and a 4000w champion (Killed more fish with this set up than I ever did during the day)

Moved on to 8 - 150w HPS and said above champion then upgraded to 2000w yamaha

Moved on to 4 - 400w HPS/MH and added one more 2000w Yamaha... I will never ever dick around with LED's I have fished off them plenty in my life to know I will never ever ever do it... i don't care how many lummens they can get out of them...

Very first setup: 12v battery with handheld spot light shooting off bridges at night

First boat setup: (6) 500 watt halos and Champion 3500/4000 gennie

Second setup: (8) 50 watt customfits LED to reduce amp draw and (2) powermax 55 for troller batteries and Champion 3500/4000 gennie , both setups on our 17ft BassTracker

3rd and current setup- 2072 SeaArk and (12) 50 watt LED from seperate US source, Honda EU2000 inverter Generator. And have our buddies 2nd Honda gennie to use (3) powermax converters to keep 36v 115# troller batteries charged up....

1st was 4 55w off road lights,
2nd added 6 100w ebay leds that I ordered from the plant in China to get k4200 color.
3rd added 2 600w hps to the front.
4th a mix of 8 digital and megnetic 250w-600w hps.
This year I will be running 8 250w hps digital.
If you fish in central wi please keep using your awesome LED lights, more fish for me lol jk

I started with a 10' jon boat and two 300 watt halo on a stand. Then 6 D/C 50 watt Custom Fitz Cool White then bumped it to 10 of the cool whites. This year I converted all of them to extra warm white 2800 Kelvin SMD chips from Custom Fitz and never been happier. I did try a couple of 50 watt green lights bet they didn't work out well at all.

Here's how I started spot light then 500watt halos then LEDs then to hps/mh with digital ballest then back to LEDs then LEDs mixed with hps/mh digital ballest and now back to LEDs again. Thinking of doing something different this coming year. Lol

started with :
Q-beam 2 trips, then got 4 500 watt halo's mounted on conduit (removable) and a 3,500 watt coleman genny.
mid 90's switched up to 4 1,500 watt halo's for years,(switched to 1,000 watt bulbs) both with high deck (4 foot) and flat deck (Honda 6,500 watt genny)
then went to 10 500 watt halo's for years same Honda genny then switched to 3,000 watt Yamaha genny running 225 ultras till it died..
now run 10 50 watt LED's
still have the ultras and halo's for back up,....
