Does it come with the stuff to edit or need to buy it separately also how long does a battery last and what size memory cars thanks for all the help
I bought mine used, I can film 1 hour straight before the battery dies running everything. On average you can close to an hour and a half just running on basics. GoPro has a list of memory cards that will work for the Hero4.

i run the hero 3 and 3+. i have 3 of them now, the head mounts are good but it takes a trip or two to find the right angle. i usually run on 720 because of the wider camera angle and at night there is not a ton of difference in film quality. for best results off of a boat get the camera behind and above the front deck 8' high if you can rig a pole or something. I use the roll bar mount quite a bit for mounting on the boat, it fits the troller shaft too.

I have a 3 black, battreys don't last long. Got a 4 Silver touch screen for xmas & I like it a lot better. It's more user friendly & batterys last a lot longer.

I have a hero 3+ black. The things I like the most are:
1.) being able to check your view on your phone
2.) rolling record/"loop" mode...that way you can record all night and just push the shutter button after you shoot a fish so you don't use a ton of memory
3.) tons of mounts available for the gopro at low cost on amazon

What is this loop mode you speak of?

I love mine i got a 3+ silver and without wifi on 1080-30 i get about 3 hrs of continuous recording on mine takes great video and photos, these are some i got the other day down at the creek with it

I would have shot that turtle. I shoot them all the time. Evil little things always bitin me every time I try to go swimmin' in the neighborhood ponds.

I wont kill them unless I eat them and I have a thing were every time I see one I have to pick it up like that guy and a different guy

also another thing for the gopro watch the view for the picture wide medium narrow especially on video ive ruined good hunt with it

Loop mode continuously records until you press the shutter button then it saves the last 5 mins of film. Basically it's like a security camera or dash camera...it records for 5 minutes then starts deleting at 5:01 so you only have the last 5 minutes. I like it fishing because I just push the shutter button after we shoot a fish. I can record all night on 1 or 2 memory cards depending on how many fish we shoot

Yup the sj4000 or sj6000 is damn near a go pro. My sj6000 has a veiwfinder about 30 mounts and batteries are like ten bucks a piece. Battery last about hour and half. And it's about 120 bucks and works identical to the go pro and has all the same features and nearly same field of view. Do some research and save yourself some money. Been running mine about a month and have had 0 issues

if you want extra batteries btw go on ebay the batteries for a gopro last time i got a set was 15 bucks 2 batteries and a charger granted they arent gopro's batteries but they last just as long and came with an external charger dont buy gopros over priced batteries
