So is this a sign of time a changing...have we all learned to get along?
Guess Obama's speech last night just paved the way for setting differences aside!!! Bhahahahaha!!

My girlfriend was using the retriever pro kit with a PSE predator and PSE Cuda....something got into the gear and afer I tore it apart, a hair, just one hair, was causing MASSIVE reeling issues. Like it took me a lot of work trying to reel it all in and almost made bowfishing not worth it.

Well after I fixed that it reeled fine, but the line was all cut up from being stuck in between the bottle and roller, so I replaced the line with 25 yards of the Muzzy replacement line. Well....it reels okay but it usually fills the bottle and the line get pushed underneath it and you get a giant loop. I tried to tell her that the line was too long, and she never even attempts any shots over 15 yards and I could just trim 2 or 3 yards off and it would fix it and she never let me....so now she *****es all the time when it happens. Well I snuck out and cut 2.5 yards of line and she never has the problem, until she insists on reeling the line so far in that the slide is butted up against the rest and the line taught.....because she cant handle it dangling a little bit....

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix that issue with it? I'm pretty sure its too much line...but fitting 66 feet of it into the stock botle shouldnt be causing that much of a problem, should it?

just pull some of the line out the back of the bottle, wind it around the bottle and then put some electrical tape around it, that way as you lose a little line, you can just pull some back thru the bottle, don't cut it off.

You might try adjusting your roller, i had that problem with my old Retriever and i just took it apart and adjusted the roller and it worked great!

Ok the standard bottle will only hold about 25 yds of 400# fast flight. If you had a long bottle or some sort of "beverage" container, it would hold all of the 100 ft spool. 70-75 ft is about right...it will seem packed at first, but when you take it out a time or two and get it wet it won't seem so tight. Spraying the line with some reel magic also helps it reel a little better. You can get this in the fishing section of any sporting goods store or wal-mart. Hope this helps.
