Last season I had a otter climb up the bank and take my top marshmellow off my dp so i set a duke #4 4 coil. I dug a slide into the bank were he came up beded the trap and had that otter the next morning reset and pulled a beaver the next morning. You jist never no what might visit your sets. The only down side to dps your only going to catch ***** hopefully.

On the pvc set, check out Mark Stecks pvc set. Hes the guy that pretty much started them. Also on the dps i heard of people putting styrofoam cups over them with the bottoms nocked out to atract ****.. They are curious critters

Laminated jaws (inside or outside) offset jaws...what do y'all like? I'm fixing to buy some new music wire springs for my #2 Victor's and also 4 coil kits...and laminate the jaws...I want to turn them into coyote traps...I got 3 dozen of them that sure could help me out!

That's the thing, I might miss a mink or cat in a dog proof! I have never caught a mink before and I want one so bad!

Brady, only laminate the inside, you can weld a bead in the corners and accomplish the same thing.I change out the stock pan for a Paws i Trip pan, four coil em,and fasten the anchor chain center frame(under the Pan)swivel there, swivel mid chain, and swivel at the stake end(I put an inline shock spring as well, but thats not necessary)

I wanted to weld a base plate with a center D ring and 4 coil them and laminate the jaws...I will look into the paws I trip pans. I center swivel all my chit :) so inside laminate... 10-4...I just wanted some input from you guys! I think that tricked out trap will work good for coyotes, do you?

I haven't had any problem with cats oh wait I did catch a big tom cat one time I thought that kitty was going to climb my leg. I would have taken care of the rabbit eating bastard but my daughter wanted me to turn it loose.

Yes def weld the base plate d ring, you want the pull inertia dead center and the base plate beefed up(the four coil kit can flex the stock plate as well)Def get the Posi pans, they are the chit...set the pan tension to 3-4 lbs, they have a bump on the dog(trigger)that clicks when you have it where you want it,tune em at home and super quick and efficient.I modify all of my yote traps. With the Gov. we had to use rubber jaw traps so I did all the mods to my "work",traps too....on there dime of course

look for mink sighn and set 110 coni's on every hole along the bank, under logs, that only they can go,if you find there trail, helps to use a little mink scent too. You'll catch em if they are around. They love muskrat guts, you can make a bank hole set with a 1 1/2 or 110 (turn the coni upside down,so the triggers come up from the bottom, and string some small wire between the "V",dont leave a hole they can get by....they wil

The only reason I even say mink is because early one afternoon I swear I seen one run across the dam of our big lake! It caught me off guard, at first I was like "damn that was a funny looking squirrel! " then it dawned on me "mink!" I think I yelled out "ferret! " lol...

HA!HA!Yea,you dont see em too often(at least I never did)but you can smell em!!!If they are around, and you know what they smell like...you will smell them!I was pretty fortunate to have quite a few of em in Montana,a few different color phase ones too from fur farms that were released by Eco freaks.I alays liked catching em,seen $$$$ sighns

Ya. he thought so too.
Damn pizz kitties!!!!I couldnt beat so I joined em,when I trapped for fur and actually set out lines of 220's for them.I was getting damn good money for the "juice"....stank to everyone else but after a while I got used to it

Well I have some old victor #2 fox traps that I turned into coyote traps “I hope” if they don’t work out good on dogs I’m gona turn them into strictly drowning rigs…

I bubble welded the tips to keep the coyotes from pulling the jaws out.

As you can see I 4 coiled them and put new #2 music wire on them….that music wire is freaking amazing!
