Ok, so i have a new Terrova #80 with 10awg wire coming off of it from the factory. Boat has a troller plug already, but its setup for 12v system, and looks insanely difficult to access and rewire to plug. So I was thinking of running 6awg with Anderson plugs and a 60 amp breaker to the back of my 18' boat. I will obviously need to swap the factory wiring with 6awg, but was wandering if this was ok to do. Any help will be much appreciated!

You got it, just make sure to buy 1 set of 10awg contacts and 1 set of 6 gauge contacts for the plug. There is great wire on eBay that I can link for you after work - it's 2x6awg with a white coating for easy running down the boat.

Hmm, sorry a bit confused on this. If i use the factory wire coming out of troller, wont it then become winkest link in the chain and get hot? If not, great, less work haha

To be more clear, i was going to remove the factory 10awg wires and replace with 6awg straight out of troller and then about 2 feet out, add an Anderson clip so i will be able remove my troller. Then all the way to back of boat with 6awg, then to breaker, then out of breaker to batteries.

Thanks for the link OBG! Will get some ordered!
