I work every other weekend at a hospital, and carry a pager and get called out all hours of the night. Should I use the mentality of I'M SLEEPING HERE during the day when the loud speed boats are going? No if I lived on the lake......and yes, with a public lake, noise at night is just as common as during the day. now with this said, the lake is designed to make it worse than a normal lake with the bluffs, and to be honest, I do not know of an airboat that is not mufflered. They are loud, and the bluffs compounded that. It was for a few days, and most likely will not be there again, but even if it is, what is a few nights out of a year vs. the boats all summer long during the day? I know normal people go to bed at night...what happens when that normal person has a major medical issue in the middle of the night? should I the abnormal one become normal and have you wait till a "reasonable hour" or should I get up at all hours of the night....now this is not just a few days a year, this is every other weekend.....I know...it's my job and it only makes sense, and so should living on the lake you deal with what the lake offers....but politics always abounds,,,,,,
