I will make a call and if you guys need a lodge to stay in I know a lodge just below the Kentucky Dam that would sleep 16 doubled up in beds and there a couple of couches and recliners, makes a great get away. I am the National Director for Operation Bows and Heroes, we set wounded folks up with archery equipment and some hunts so maybe I can reach into the contact list to help. How many soldiers want to go?
When I was stationed at Ft Campbell, the steam plant was an awesome place to fish... you can go right off the concrete deck or the walkway above the dam.. fish were so thick there you could walk on them. Not sure what species is allowed (didn't bowfish back then) but hundreds of fresh water drum and monster gar rolling on the surface. When the shad are running, it's insane. On the backside there were a lot of nice channel cats right along the wall. Not too far from KY lake.
