What size gas tanks are yall running? I have a 12g plastic one that set behind the rear seat but now that I have that console I can fit a nice size tank under it. I figured I need at least a 20g tank. And what would yall prefer a plastic one or aluminum one?

Thanks, Cody

I HATE FIBERGLASS!!!! Iv been working on the console and getting it sanded and re glassing the holes from the old gauges and preping it for paint. My neighbor works for a sign company and is getting camo wrap for the console and sides of the boat today. The pattern Im using is the Advantage Max-4 grass camo. Going to wrap on the sides of the boat to the first crease about a foot down and from the transom to the nose of the boat. He said he would paint the boat for me too in their paint booth at work!:grin::grin:

This stuff. It was like $9 a can. Two cans did the inside of the boat, well the walls. I have a new floor down so no need to clean it. There are other strippers out there and when I bought the acid at lowes there was stripper by like the gallon for around 20-30 bucks. I sprayed like 10 coats of acid on the sides washing off in between coats and it did nothing with the pressure washer. sprayed the stripper stuff and bam came right off. Then the acid on top and it cleaned a lil better. After all the acid and stripper I sprayed on the boat I thought it might melt the hole damn thing lol. Oh ya,, acid and galvanized steel DO NOT GET ALONG AT ALL!! lol

Thanks, Im hopeing to have the boat painted by this weekend. My neighbor has a paint booth at his work and said he will paint it and wrap it for me. He works at a sign shop that does a little of everything including wrapping and painting vehicles!!

Your doing a nice job on this boat...It's a nice boat to start with. :)

But I see what I thing is some oversight. You have not made any provisions for running wire and cable.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

But no rigging tubes going forward for Nav lights or trolling motor. [Batteries in the console]
I also do not see any rigging to motor?

For nav lights im going to run down the pipe thats part of the fish walk on the sides of the boat and and any other wires that I may need up there.

For the controls and cables for the outboard, I am going to sweep it to the side of the boat, under the fish walk and then down in front of the seat and across the floor to under the console. I have some 3" pipe that I will cut in half and weld tabs too and pop rivet it to the floor to cover the cables. I was going to originally run them under the floor in between the ribs but I dont like all those angles and bends it will have to do. I rather have them last longer and not under stress than put them in a bind just for cosmetics. The controls that you see in the pic on the boat will no longer be used. And for the trolling motor, I am going to be running a fan. Under the console will be around a 20 gal alum tank and I have two batterie boxes for the the batteries that will go under the console to.
Here are the battery boxes and the 1-2-1&2 switch.
