Started preping for paint tonight. cleaned up alot of the mess i made with the adhesive. and, got compresser and cup gun ready to rock. bought all my paint and aluminum primer for the bare aluminum earlier today. gonna sweep out the boat and remove the deck, then will be ready to start.... just really fighting the temperatures now. might be too cold to be spraying this thing. don't want the paint to look all jacked up.

cold weather aint good for painting :(

and hurry up!:):):)

i check this thread daily for updates and want to see a video!

can you fix it so there is a rooster tail being throw up behind the boat?
yeah, yeah. i hear ya. lol. i really do appreciate everyone's interest and comments!!! i am constantly looking forward to getting more work done on this project so i can post more updates. and believe me, i promise there will be videos as soon as i can get this thing in the water! i actually did do some research on the whole "rooster tail" thing. i would have to add a variable trim system. i could do this for a fairly low price, however, if i did, i would have to get rid of the reverse gate. and, the reverse gate was one of the original "must haves" when i went searching for a jet ski. so, as much as i would love to be able to back this thing up to tim's pretty little fan boat and completely engulf him in a rooster tail, i don't think i'm willing to throw away my reverse capabilities yet.... we'll see how much we even use the reverse, though. i'll definitely keep this option on the table. if for some reason we end up not finding the reverse gate very useful, tim will definitely be taking on massive amounts of water! lol!

okay, i'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to paint the framing for the deck/s on the boat or not. fyi, the boat is getting painted solid black..... yeah yeah, i know, it will be so hot when the sun bakes on it during the day..... don't care. already made up my mind about this and i'm stubborn so don't try to change my mind on the color. (we rarely fish during the day ever) so, the question is: do i totally black this bad boy out or do i leave the deck frame and foot rail unpainted aluminum? .... give me some input, ya'll. lets hear your thoughts.

got some work done on the boat today, but i'm having some issues trying to upload pics. when I click the upload button it just spins and spins and never does anything. I can't figure out what the deal is. I have the pics resized to the same as all the other pics on this thread. does anybody know why I might be having this problem or how to solve it? gonna eat some dinner and will try again here shortly.

through eating yet????

my boat is dark green interior and plan for black bed liner in the bottom of it. my boat rarely sees the light of day either just put a nice seat in it and wear shoes. you will be fine.

good luck with the pics.

i know its somewhere in these 5 pages but, what size is your boat? And, what do you think it will weigh when done?

Guys, I seriously tried last night for like 2 hours to get pics to upload. No luck. Maybe it was something with the bfc server? At any rate, I will try again today, if it still wont let me, I will start a new thread if I have to. And Frog, the boat is gonna weigh about 850lbs total.

I am still unable to upload any more pics. I sent an email to the site administrator. I am waiting to hear back from them. As soon as I can, I will post all the pics I have from this weekend. I have the boat completely ready to paint. Planning on painting tomorrow. I primed all the bare metal around the jet ski hull and the pods with aluminum primer, removed the vinyl "alumacraft" lettering, removed the front deck, and cleaned the boat from top to bottom. I will let ya'll know whats going on with the uploading of the pics problem I am having when I hear back from the administrator and how the painting goes tomorrow.
