I tie to the back, have been for 20+ years. I have never had a snap back injury using 200 FF and spinners. My only bowfishing injury came from a string cut when I drew on a fish, let back down, then drew again and shot. The slack in the string caught on the lower cable anchor which caused the string to slice my hand. Good thing was it also burned it so it didn't bleed and I kept on fishing. Note to self, don't do that again! If I draw and don't shoot, I wind up my slack even if it means not getting the shot.
