Finished the trigger job by adding the setscrew last night. Very pleased as it took out a lot of the pretravel and the trigger feels pretty good.

The custom rifle is a DSA Arms lower, CMMG lower parts kit, DG Arms buffer kit with Magpol Moe+ rear stock, grip and trigger guard, Bushmaster Predator 556 20" upper and BCG along with the Firefield 2.5-10x x 40mm objective scope (green and red optics) with laser sight (adjustable separate from scope)(p/n FF13014) with bullet drop compensator for 223. This was one of the easiest projects I have ever done - Thanks Clark3 and Chris for stimulating my interest and allowing me to build the ultimate hog eliminator for the farm.

Going to sight it in this weekend and shoot some hogs/yotes!!!
Future plans are to add a bipod and sling.

Well, I have not shot a rifle in over 12 years until I built this one last week. I am very pleased with the outcome. Here is ten shots at 100 yards. I still have some more polishing on the trigger and safety to remove the pretravel in the trigger (a small catch at the beginning) and add the lighter 3.5# springs should easily tighten this group up by 60%. Along with something to hold the rifle in the rear.

man i just read tgis whole thing and still dont know what i want. im new to this whole AR thing but i was playing around with a couple this weekend and decided i want one. i really have no clue about anything on an AR. whats a good one to buy now days? im looking for something accurate out to 200 yards but want the 223. thoughts?

Rum you dead set on building one from scratch or just buying a good quality completed gun???? "Pretty accurate out to 200yds" is not a hard thing to do even with a good quality built factory gun. Check Bud's Gunshop online and AR style guns are readily available now. Higher end target/match or varminter grade guns like RockRiver,DPMS,Bushmaster, Windham can be had for $1,300-900....and all wil/should shoot sub moa groups 100ydsMy sons M&P smith and Wesson will and was around $700 and not a "match/Target or accurized" gun

Rum, I built a nice 300 blackout last year and used it for deer dropped my buck about 30yards from my shot very accurate out to 300yard and basically the same parts as 223 except the barrel, great to reload if you do as it has a ton of options with 30 cal. I've heard they are great on hogs and zombies as well....
