That's illegal in Missouri. If you're gonna split them and sink them you better have permission and the name/s of the C.O. that gave you permission.Either that or make real sure nobody's around to see you when you do it.It is however legal to throw them up in the brush on Corps land.
ok guess i wont look into that anymore lol, thanks for the info

process into trapping bait or give them to a chinese fella who fishes near my shop.Don't wanna know what he's doin with them,he runs a sushi business from what i hear....

I dump at the farm and trap pigs with em!

scale and fillet the carp sometimes....makes real good trotline and floats bait. The rest of the time I dispose of them.

Heck one night the Game Warden caught me a the boat ramp...he/she said " what the hell do you do with all them stinking fish" I said I got a big compost pile...he/she said u should just take some pictures and throw them back in the water...I said I don't want to make bowfishermen look bad because I dumpfish back in the water...he /she said " there has got to be a dozen catfish heads laying right there and atleast 30 sand bass skeletons over there ...how in the hell can it make you look bad" I said hell if I know...then he/she said can I see ur fishing licensed and I need to see 3 life jackets

A guy grinds them into fertilizer.

This is a great question for people to respond to, and hopefully it will give others something to think about. Because we all need to do the right thing and promote the sport in a positive way... (Don't dump fish at the boat ramp!!!!)
Mr. Dan

dump them at hooptys houses he likes the smell p.m. him for directions

Cant eat 2000 or more fish after a tournament! No one seems to want all of them and dumping them to hunt yotes or hogs is just tough. We dumped them last year and the only thing we attracted were buzzards....hundreds of them and they crapped on EVERYTHING!!! The zoos dont want them and the gator farms told us that the gators would not eat them. Dumpsters are expensive and asking people to take their fish home is not an option to me.

This comes up every year and I must say that if I dont find someone to start taking the fish from the Trinity River Shootout and others I wont be hosting it next year. To me this is #1 priority for putting on a tournament.
