Got 4 lights wired in and ready to go. Still waiting on 2 more digital ballasts to get the rear most lights going. But for now can run the 4 400w HPS. Still working on getting the old Hydroturf off. Stuff is a pain to get off. But guess that’s a good thing right?

Can you use a pressure washer to help get old turf off?

How did the oscillating tool work? I used a cutting wheel and wire wheel on my angle grinder and it worked alright but gets gummed up fast. Paint stripper worked really nice but gummed up way too fast.

I tried, didnt work. Stuff is just too durable, even sitting out in the sun for multiple years

Worked great from the small spot I did. Its been 105-112* so havent been outside too much in the past week.

Finally took the time to scrape the old hydroturf off. Oscillating tool made it easy. Its down smooth to the glue even though it looks like the Hydroturf is still there. Now just need to let it dry a few days and then slap the new stuff down.

Added an aluminum toolbox which will serve as the battery box, charger mount and the converter mount inside. Going to add some 120v fans eventually once I get the converters purchased and mounted.

And then some bonus pictures of first trip of the year. Got the recessed foot tray installed which made it a toooon more comfortable.

Garmin or Lowrance

I run a tiller handle and so far, Garmin and Lowrance haven't been willing to work with me to sell just the lower to try to build a tiller so I'm currently SOL but I would love to get away from Minn Kotas terrible customer service and the actual measured thrust is significantly higher on the either brushless option than Minn Kota. I also run converters so it's not a factor for me but the extra battery life is a huge benefit as well.
