I m just sayn.... you are fishing along shooting a school of shar and al of a sudden there is a 7ft gator gar eating shad. What do you do? Now i think most folks would say GATOR GAR!!!!! and everyone in the boat would shoot at her. Since you would much rather shoot shad; I guess you would say ,"wait till that shad clears the gar before you shoot!"

Did i get it right Shad Stalker? By the way....i never have seen pics of any of those 7ft plus gator gar you have killed so many of.

 

well i a would have to agree with gayguy......a seven ft gator gar would take precident over shad....however when I hunt for gator gar that what I am looking for and what I intend to shoot. When I am hunting "other" trash fish I would shoot at a shad rather a carp or common gar. Gator gar or not indiginous to all places I bowfish.

I've only gotten one shad, was aiming at the water flea just under his eye.... missed by a hair. I'll take the shot every time I see one.

Shadstalker, I would not put any pictures on this site... The garguy will just bash u!!!!!!!! They will tell everybody that you got the pictures off there wedsite!!!!!! They don't take to kind if someone beside them are putting pictures of big gar on this form.... (Trust me i've been there) I even sent something to the site moderator because they where slandering me. He took it off and Steve called him and talked about it so he put it back on... So put the pictures or video on here at your own risk...Just a little friendly advice......

I have never bow fished but this one time I was skipping rocks. and hit a shad...thought that was neat. i got pics of it with me and the rock.

 

I guess since i dont use many smilies folks may not realize Im just having fun with this thread just like ShadStalker is.

Shad Roe-sacks is excellent cooked for breakfast I have been told, you cook them like scrambled eggs.

 

I have missed the opportunity on several alligator gar because I was too busy flinging arrows at shad. I love shooting them, prefer one gator gar and 200 shad in a night - what a night!!!

 

It clearly says he was 2nd place, I finished first...
